Vaccinated Indian Passengers to Travel US from November

In 2019, many countries imposed an entry ban due to the Covid-19 outbreak, in which one of the countries was the United States of America (USA). After grabbing details and support from coronavirus task force members and public health officials, Donald Trump announced restrictions on international travel to save people and control the spread.

Former President Donald Trump made an attempt to add a shield to his country in early 2020 as the cases were on the rise. His attempt to protect his people made him sign the order. Now, the condition is improving in the states, and we are noticing lesser cases.

On September 20, 2021, President Joe Biden announced lifting geographic travel ban restrictions from November only for Vaccinated passengers. As per the report released on Wednesday, only the fully vaccinated individual will have permission to enter the country, as per the new international travel system.

Confirming the release, White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients in a virtual news conference, made a public revelation, “Today we’re imposing a new international air travel system. To save our people, make air travel safer, and control the spread of COVID-19 from passengers flying into the States, we are imposing strict protocols in our new system for international travelers. “

Further, he added, “under the guidance of science and public health experts, a new international air travel system will be in practice. The new system is developed keeping both safety of Americans and international air travelers in mind. Significantly, all international passengers must get fully vaccinated. Foreign nationals flying to the United States beginning in early November will require passengers to carry vaccination proof before boarding a US flight.”

Highlighting other public queries relating to travel bans from other countries (United Kingdom, China, Iran, India, Brazil, and South Africa). Zients reverted the media that the new and strict global system will be in full practice from early November. Nationals need to get themselves vaccinated and carry the proof. Later go for testing and contract tracing regimens.

On media queries relating to existing quarantine requirements, “fully vaccinated travelers visiting the United States do not require to be following a quarantine going forward.”, he said.

“We are sure that vaccines are showing great response against the Delta variant and other variants of Covid. Approximately six billion COVID-19 vaccines have been administered globally, and is one of the best weapons against Covid.”

Our doctors and experts are also working on other proven disease mitigation strategies, testing contact tracing, and masking apart from vaccination doses. For now, vaccinations are the best tool against Covid to keep people safe and limit the spread. Yet, we are looking forward to more solutions for your safety.

Zients concluded in the conference, pre-departure testing within three days before departure to the USA is a must by fully vaccinated travelers. It is necessary to show report proof stating negative results. Moreover, if you are an American and returning to the home country unvaccinated, you will be subjected to stricter testing requirements. Test within one day of departure is a must and again post their arrival.

CDC officials will soon be signing an order in the coming weeks. As per this contact tracing order, all airlines will require to collect information (phone number and email address) of the US-bound traveler. This information will further aid state and local public health officials and CDC to monitor inbound travelers, and the ones around them. CDC will have the authority as to which vaccine will be acceptable for entry into the US.

This information will help us track the virus and control it from further spreading. Additionally, it is a great strategy to strengthen the public health surveillance system.

Earlier, President Joe Biden extended the masking requirement airplanes. Further imposed TSA doubled fines for any passenger who refuses to mask.

Ending the conference, the President stated to the public, “If you break the rules, prepare yourself for the consequences.”
