Study Tips for Indian Students Abroad

Students often get excited after reaching their final destination. They connect with some of the best study abroad consultants near them for preparation and visa assistance. After reaching the institute they often fail to balance between their academic and social life. However, each student has their own approach towards studying and to find out yours is important. In this post, we have listed a few tips that will save you from last-minute stress:

  1. Plan Ahead

Create a timeline of your study schedules to prepare for the examinations. It is best to start from an early stage. Plan yourself and switch between subjects week by week, so that you can discuss your doubts and queries with the professors or peers. Just keep in mind as the education system of a new country might be different from your home country (India), it is your duty to adjust the time.

2. Keeping Everything organized

Check if you have all the resources and study material in place. Do you need any extra books for support? You can also join the library or borrow books from friends. Do not make it a habit to depend on other people for notes or materials during exam time.

3. Study environment

Look what study environment suits you best. Discover where you find it easy to study – library, hostel room, or cafe? Similarly, check what time suits you best – early morning, afternoon, or at night? Make most of your time and build an effective study environment. Also, to avoid drowsiness and mental fatigue take proper breaks.

4. Practice papers

Go through the previous years’ question papers and practice them beforehand. It will help you better understand the examination pattern and the structure. As a result, you will be able to easily frame answers as per the pattern.

5. Stress management

Students often stress out in the new environment. The only way to tackle it is to do not let it affect you and keep the focus on your score. Take frequent breaks to manage stress, eat well and enjoy some recreation time. Also, by performing exercises, you can beat the stress and reduce it over time.
