Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a London-based global higher education analyst who has recently released the QS World University Rankings 2023. It is the 19th edition that covers over 1400+ universities across the world.
As per the new ranking stats, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) continues to rank at 1st position for the 12th consecutive year. The second and third position belongs to the University of Cambridge and Stanford University. The University of Oxford and Harvard University rank for the fourth and fifth positions.

On the basis of the Citations Per Faculty indicator MIT, Harvard University, Caltech, Indian Institute of Science, and Stanford University score 100. Compared to the last year, this year’s QS WUR 2023 ranking features 27 US universities and 17 UK universities in the top 100.
Also, this year forty-one Indian universities, out of which 12 have improved their positions, 12 still maintain their ranks, and 10 have slipped positions.
