Monash University is a public research university based in Melbourne, Australia. Named for prominent World War I general, Sir John Monash, it was founded in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the State of Victoria. The university has a number of campuses, four of which are in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Peninsula, and Parkville), and one in Malaysia. Monash also has a research and teaching centre in Prato, Italy, a graduate research school in Mumbai, India and a graduate school in Suzhou, China. Monash University courses are also delivered at other locations, including South Africa.

Monash is home to major research facilities, including the Monash Law School, the Australian Synchrotron, the Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), the Australian Stem Cell Centre, Victorian College of Pharmacy, and 100 research centres and 17 co-operative research centres. In 2016, its total revenue was over $2.2 billion (AUD), with external research income around $282 million. In 2016, Monash enrolled over 50,000 undergraduate and over 22,000 graduate students. It has more applicants than any other university in the state of Victoria.

Monash is a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight, a coalition of Australia’s eight leading research universities, a member of the ASAIHL, and is the only Australian member of the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies. Monash is one of two Australian universities to be ranked in the École des Mines de Paris (Mines ParisTech) ranking on the basis of the number of alumni listed among CEOs in the 500 largest worldwide companies. Monash is consistently ranked among the world’s top 75 universities.

Accounting Honours Scholarship

Hugh and Selina Williams Foundation funds the Women in IT Scholarship to offer a female Faculty of IT student a scholarship opportunity. Women who are enrolled full-time in an undergraduate IT support programme at Monash University are eligible for the Women in IT Support Scholarship. The scholarship will offer financial assistance to pay for tuition for the entire course.

Monash University offers the Accounting Honours Scholarship to help undergraduate students seeking an honors degree in accounting. The scholarship seeks to help students manage the financial obligations of their honors year while also offering chances for networking and professional growth. The scholarship has a $6000 value and is only valid for one year.

Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarship (CF-MGS)

Department of Economics Honours Merit Scholarship

Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarships is another scholarship that offers support to international students who wish to pursue a Research Doctorate and Research Masters’s degree. Co-founded by Monash University, it covers living allowance, relocation allowance, and tuition fees. The student must have an Honours degree or a Master’s degree with a significant research component to apply for this scholarship.

High-achieving students who enroll in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Bachelor of Economics (Honours) programme are eligible for this scholarship – Department of Economics Honours Merit Scholarship. Students who have excelled in their academics and have shown a flair for economics have a high chance of getting this scholarship. The total scholarship value is $10,000 and requires no application.

Engineering International High Achievers Scholarship

Faculty of Law Masters International Scholarship

The Engineering International High Achievers Scholarship is best suitable for international students who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate engineering degrees. Depending on the student’s academic performance and field of study, the scholarship’s amount may change.

The Faculty of Law Masters International Scholarship is a programme that offers financial assistance to incoming law students planning to pursue a master’s degree. A distinction average (or an equivalent) will be favored when evaluating applicants’ full academic records. The selected student will receive a grant of $20,000 for one year that is only paid toward tuition fees.
