A piece of good news for all international students who aspire to study abroad in Australia. Australia is allowing another set of residents and students to enter the country.

As per the border rules, only the fully vaccinated visa holders and international students will be permitted to enter the country for the month without seeking an exemption. It was one of the biggest decisions taken by the Australian Government for borders since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Looking at the records and surveys, an estimate of more than 200,000 international students and refugees are expected to migrate to the capital by December and January.

To be more precise and clearer on some of the changes made to the border rules, only the fully vaccinated South Koreans and Japanese with a valid visa will be permitted to enter Australia. No quarantine is needed.

Continuous check on the double-dose vaccination rates further easing the international border restrictions. Thus, moving Australia a bit closer to the new pre-Covid normality. Furthermore, Prime Minister Scott Morrison added a statement, “Earlier we focussed on Australians home first, but from next month we are ready to welcome back our students and the skilled workers that are needed to help uplift our economic recovery. We have been working hard to secure our economic crisis past two years, but now we need more support from our old members.”

Adding to the Conference report, Australia’s Home Minister also stated, “It is another step forward for our international citizens. All student cohorts, refugees, humanitarians, temporary or provisional visa holders, skilled workers who are fully vaccinated and are eligible visa holders have the access to enter the country from December.”

To access the new provision, either get fully vaccinated or show negative PCR test results three days before your departure.

The Prime Minister also added, “From December 1, a travel bubble would begin with Korea and Japan. The same plan is in practice with Singapore, but we are looking forward to doing the same with other countries from next month.”

“The decision to re-open the gates would be a boost to economic recovery. We are looking forward to our skilled workers joining back the cities and allowing businesses to grow with confidence,” said Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. Be it hospitality, construction, mining, or agriculture, we are ready to bring back those skilled workers in Australia.
